Sponsored by First Universalist Church, the 2016 annual Men’s Renewal Weekend, with CRUUC member Tom Pritchard facilitating, will be Friday evening, April 22nd, until noon on Sunday, April 24th.
Join your brothers for a fun and introspective weekend in beautiful Highlands Camp & Retreat Center, Allenspark, CO. For over ten consecutive years, 20 to 40 men have gathered in the beautiful Rocky Mountains near Estes Park, to spend an early Spring weekend together. Drug and alcohol free, these weekends offer a unique opportunity for men to leave their daily lives behind, and work together to renew: To be better men for themselves, their families and communities when they return home.
From Friday at 5 pm until Sunday at noon, attendees participate in a variety of scheduled activities and small group discussions centered around the weekend theme. This weekend it is “Joie de Vivre”, the simple pleasure and enjoyment of life.
Lao Tzu said, “He who is contented is rich.”
We will also have free time to interact and enjoy camaraderie with the other men, hike in the beautiful landscape, read, take a nap or ?? Past attendees say they value the lasting friendships made in a relaxed environment, away from phones, TV etc. The most common response from men is: “I’ve never done anything like this, but I’ll be back next year.”
Lodging and all meals are included for the affordable price of only $125. Carpooling is arranged for all who need a ride.
