Laddu: Shri Ganesha’s Sweet

Recipe courtesy of Ashva Yoga. These cookies are delicious!

  • 3 sticks of Butter
  • 14 oz Chickpea Flour
  • 4 T chopped, unsweetened Coconut
  • 4 T Sesame Seeds
  • 1 package of Vanilla Sugar
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • 7 oz Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 t. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 t. Dried Ginger
  • 1/4 t. Cardamon
  1. Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan over low heat. Add the chickpea flour and stir continuously until golden brown (about 15 minutes).
  2. Add the coconut, sesame seeds, ginger, cardamon and cinnamon. Stir together well and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the lemon zest, vanilla sugar and powdered sugar.
  4. When dough is cool enough to handle, spread onto parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Cool completely in refrigerator, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
