As the Castle Rock Unitarian Universalist Community begins its sixth year, CRUUC co-founder and Board President, Gary Wyngarden will speak on “Beloved Community”, Martin Luther King’s concept of a community in which people of different backgrounds recognize that we are all interconnected, and that our individual well-being is inextricably linked to the well-being of others. We will explore the importance of CRUUC to its members and to the larger world.
Retired from his business career, Gary is devoting his talents and energy to community service as an actively engaged volunteer at the Douglas Elbert Task Force, a frequent teacher at D.U.’s chapter of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and through CRUUC.
Whether you’re a current member, regular visitor or a new friend, we hope you’ll join us! We welcome all people who honor the UU beliefs and principles, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, mental or physical challenges, religious beliefs, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Meetings are held every 3rd Sunday of the month at 3737 New Hope Way, Castle Rock, CO, 80109, in the Castle Rock Room of New Hope Presbyterian Church**.
