Dr. Rev. Joseph Woodson is our guest speaker for the July 19, 2015, Discussion and Potluck. Joe’s Exploration is entitled:
UU and Philosophy In An Indifferent Universe
A retired Presbyterian Minister, Joe has pastored several churches in the Denver area and worked as a Chaplain in the field of substance abuse. Joe was a member of Jefferson Unitarian Church and is a current member of the American Humanist Association. An Okie with an accent that raises questions about his education, Joe’s doctoral work was in church history and historical theology. More recently, Joe facilitated philosophy courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Denver. He is married to Arlene, a retired nurse practitioner.
We hope you’ll join us! As always, we will finish up with a pot luck and social hour, so please bring food and/or drink to share (please note that Joe’s wife, Arlene — if she joins us — is gluten intolerant) . Our current meeting place is The Bethesda Lutheran Community Facility*, 680 Atchison Way, Castle Rock, CO 80109. Meetings begin promptly at 4 o’clock p.m.
To R.S.V.P., please email Cath Wyngarden.
